How to make a pay run for annual leave with public holidays?

Hi tim46,

Welcome to Community.

Let's make sure that Public Holiday calendar is turned and set for the current financial year. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. Click Employees on the left pane.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.

  3. Choose Public.

  4. From the right top corner at the drop-down box, choose the state required to import the public holidays or leave at All States.

  5. Click the cog wheel, then select Import Public Holidays.
  6. Choose the year from the drop-down menu that you require.
  7. Click Import.

Once Public Holidays have been set up in the system, you can them in the following ways:

  • Public holidays excluded when estimating amount of leave required for leave applications (public holidays are determined based upon the employee’s default location)
  • Pay conditions may be set up to automatically pay employees at different rates for public holidays

Here's an article for more information about Public Holiday Calendar: Annual Leave Payroll with QBO And KeyPay.

Once done you can set up a pay run in QuickBooks.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other concerns. I'll be right here to help.

How to make a pay run for annual leave with public holidays?

Hi MD144,

Apologies as these instructions may be out-dated. When you go into Payroll Settings and to Public Holidays there should be default data based on the state listed in the payroll Details.

If you do not see the applicable Public Holiday, select the Date and Add a new one.

For full details on how to process pay runs with Public Holidays please see here

Thanks,

Rebecca
