To better assist you, please let us know if the unknown command error occurs when running payroll or entering data and if specific actions trigger it. Sharing the payroll function and a screenshot of the error would be helpful.
In the meantime, when QuickBooks isn't behaving as expected, I recommend using a private or incognito window to rule out errors or glitches.
You can use the following keyboard shortcuts depending on your browser:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
After that, switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the website's preferences. I recommend using the system's supported browser for the best and most secure experience.
