Does employee id and payroll id needs to be same for STP lodgment purpose?

Hi Pasang,

We can't change the employee ID on the system. However, if you would like to have the employee ID matches with the payroll ID on your payslip, you can enter it as an External ID on the employee's Details. Then enable this option on your pay slip settings. Here's how:

  1. Go to Employees tab.
  2. Select Payroll Settings and then Pay Slips.
  3. Untick Show employee ID.
  4. Tick Show employee external ID.
  5. Select Save.

Hope the workaround provided above helps.

Does employee id and payroll id needs to be same for STP lodgment purpose?

Hi pasang,

By default, an employee's STP Payroll ID is identical to their employee ID (ie the system generated employee ID, as opposed to the External ID).

The employee's STP Payroll ID can be changed only if it meets the requirements of Scenario 2, Option 2 detailed in this transition article and the BMS ID of the employee's employing entity has changed. If there is no "Change" button in the employee's STP Payroll ID field then the BMS ID has not been changed and therefore there is no ability to change the employee's STP Payroll ID.

Does employee id and payroll id needs to be same for STP lodgment purpose?

Hi Aika

BMS I'd has been changed

Payroll I'd has been changed

My concern here is, after changing the payroll I'd, employee I'd should be changed as well. Employee I'd on payslip doesn't match to payroll I'd.

Hope that clarifies the situation

Thanks

Pasang

Does employee id and payroll id needs to be same for STP lodgment purpose?

Thank you for the clarification, pasang.

Employee ID is automatically generated once you've added or imported an employee and this can't be edited on the system. Just to confirm, have you change manually the payroll ID on the employee's Opening Balances section?

I would suggest to contact our live support team to further check on this for you. Thanks.

Does employee id and payroll id needs to be same for STP lodgment purpose?

Hi Aika

Yes, payroll ID has been manually changed in opening balance section under STP.

Just wanted to confirm if there is any way to change employee id to match with payroll id imported from other software.

Kind Regards
Pasang
