Family and domestic violence means violent, threatening or other abusive behaviour by an employee’s
close relative that:
· seeks to coerce or control the employee
· causes them harm or fear.
A close relative is:
· an employee's:
· spouse or former spouse
· de facto partner or former de facto partner
· child
· parent
· grandparent
· grandchild
· sibling
· an employee's current or former spouse or de facto partner's child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling, or
· a person related to the employee according to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander kinship rules.

Family & Domestic Violence Leave shouldn't be turned off as it is a entitlement under the Fair Work act, however the leave category can be turned off from appearing in time sheets & leave requests.To remove the category from appearing in time sheets you can either delete the work type or switch off the automatic enable rules for the work type.
Deleting the Work Type:
1. Go to Payroll Settings, select Work Types from the Pay Conditions column.
2. Hover your mouse over the work type & select the red "x" on the right hand side to delete the work type.
Turning off automatic enable rules:
1. Go to Payroll Settings, select Work Types from the Pay Conditions column.
2. Select the work type from the list & untick the checked boxes then select the Save button.
Alternatively the leave category can be disabled from appearing through leave templates (if applicable).
1. Go to Payroll Settings & select Leave Allowance Templates from the Pay Conditions column.
2. Select the leave template you wish to modify then click the category from the Enabled Leave Categories section then select the Save button.
