How can I change a pay rate by set amount not a % of base rate?

Hi Jemima1000,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

You can add a new pay category to add the Casual Saturday pay category in your pay runs and set Units to Fixed. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Payroll Settings.
  2. Click on Pay Categories.
  3. Click on Add, enter a category name like Saturday Rate.
  4. Click on Save.
  5. Under UNITS you can set it for Fixed so you can enter a specific amount or choose how you want to pay the Saturday rate.
  6. Click on Save.

Once done, go to the employee details and tick option to show the pay category on the pay run.

  1. Click on the Employee list.
  2. Click on the employee name, and click on Pay Rates.
  3. Locate the Casual Saturday rate and tick box for SHOW IN PAY RUN.
  4. Click on Save.

Then, create a dummy pay run to see if the Casual Saturday is showing. If not, you can also click on Actions and choose Add earnings and select Saturday rate.
