How to do I setup Rosterd Days Off in Payroll. I've searched the database and when clicking on old questions I just get the answer "Page not Available"

We can perform some troubleshooting steps to set up a Rostered day off in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Louis11.

You'll encounter that error message since the page has undergone updates or changes. Then, the older content may no longer be accessible due to compatibility issues when using a newer QuickBooks version. To set up a rostered day off, we can create a new leave category and name it RDO. Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll.
  2. Select Payroll Settings and click Leave Categories.
  3. Tap Add and enter a Name for your Leave Category.
  4. Enter the External Id and Leave Loading amount, if applicable. You may require entering the External Id if you use an external system to capture leave requests or timesheet entries and need to map the code from there into QuickBooks Payroll).
  5. Choose the Leave Category Type from the dropdown menu.
  6. Select if the Employee leave balance will be tracked or not tracked.
  7. Tick the boxes for the settings you wish to turn on.
  8. Choose the Payment Setup.
  9. Press Save.

Once done, you can apply them to the pay run. To learn more about this one, you can check out this article: How to Add Leave Categories in QuickBooks Payroll.

If you are using QuickBooks Advanced Payroll, you can add, edit, or delete unavailabilities to the employee roster. You can refer to this article for the steps and details: Manage Employee Unavailability using the Employee Roster.
