Hi,
The attached payrun was lodged successfully but Jun Young Jang (Gross $200, PAYG $30) didn't get through STP report in ATO portal.
Please advise me on this issue.
Regards,
Esther
Hi user08402,
When an employee is not receiving their income statements on their MyGov portal there are two details we can check.
Firstly, the employee may be ticked as a Closely Held Employee, which is usually assigned to an employee who may be a director or share holder of the company and the ATO does not need them to be reported in STP. I mention this as perhaps the employee was not included in the original Pay Event lodged with the ATO, where you can go back into the lodged Pay Event first to check, if they are missing you this can be fixed by:
Secondly, the issue may originate from the employee Tax File Number not being correctly added to their Employee Details. I'd encourage you to confirm that their TFN is correct by seeing the steps below:
If you find that one of these options was at play and you would like to reattempt to send the employee their Income Statement please select here to see the steps for generating a Update Event.
Let me know how you go,
-Steven
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your response.
However, the solutions you mentioned are not the same case.
The employee (Jun Young Jang) was terminated on 31st Mar 2020 and but paid on 1st April 2020.
Therefore, the the employee's gross wage $200 & payg $30 (payment date 1st April 2020) was not get through "STP reporting under the company account" although the omitted figure (gross wage $200 payg $30) was included in STP Finalisation Figure for the employee.
Please advise me on this issue.
Kind regards,
Esther
Hi user08402,
Thanks for getting back to us. What I should clarify is even if an individual pay event wasn't lodged to the ATO, it's fine because the subsequent events/finalisation include all earnings by employee because STP allows the YTD to be updated as long as the pay run is finalized. I am saying this as you mentioned you are unsure why the employee's figures were omitted in the STP Finalization Figure, because STP does include any final or terminated employee's in the STP Finalization Reporting.
If you are still unsure I would recommend you give our support team by clicking here so we can look at the file.
Thanks,
-Steven
