I am getting the following message when trying to lodge my pay run with the ATO - "Payment details have not been provided for this business" and "You will not be able to generate a payment file for this payrun as payment details have not been provided (if you don't want to generate a payment file, you can ignore this warning). "
Any ideas on what to do? Haven't had this before. We don't use aba files.
Hi RoseyLynn,
Thanks for posting in the Community! You can disregard the error message you're getting if you're not paying your employees via an ABA file or don't want to generate a payment file.
On the other hand, let's do some browser troubleshooting to get rid of the unusual behaviour when trying to lodge a pay event in QuickBooks Online.
First thing we'll need to do is to access your account in an incognito window or private mode. A private browser does not store any activities, which is why it's a good idea to use it for any unexpected behavior in the program.
Here are keyboard shortcuts you can use depending on the browser you're using:
If it works in incognito or private window, kindly go back to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache. It is a good idea to clear cache, to remove the temporary internet files and to help the application function properly. Please consider using different browser too.
Also, you can access and lodge the pay event directly via:
In any case you get the same behaviour when lodging a pay event with the ATO, I'd recommend contacting our support team for further investigation.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll be around to help. Have a nice day!
