Time Off leave shows at the top of Track Time Timesheet

When using the app and I track time, my holiday leave that I have entered for Dec and Jan shows up at the very top. For me to see my active track time and amend the information, I must scroll down to November before I can access the transaction.

I noticed that there are options to sort by "Flagged Timesheet" and "Time off" but how do I remove my "Time Off" leave so I can just see my active timesheets?

It's really frustrating to have to scroll down each time.

I have this problem for all my staff as I have requested them to put in their leave for the Christmas New Year and now this break is coming up at the very top of the timesheet.

Is there any way to hide the "Time Off" categories from the Track Time and show only timesheets?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Samantha.

Here are some screenshots. I have to do in separate messages as I can only load one image at a time.

This one is when I first go into Track Time, it takes me to the the date of last leave entered, being April 2023.

I couldn't see the file so I am reloading again.

I then have to scroll all the way down to the first of the leave that has been entered, being 30 Nov before I arrive at my Today's timesheet entry.

This is a screenshot of the Time Off that has been entered..

As you can see, 30 November is the first of the entries whilst the last entry is in April 2023.

I wonder if there is any way you can use the tags or toggle feature and have one that just shows Timesheets with "Time Off” leave included? I have highlighted in yellow and marked with some red arrows my thoughts :)

I didn't realise this would be an issue when I put my employees expected leave.

Your feedback and solution to this problem would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

SYTax.

Hi sytax,

I'm not sure why but I'm still unable to view the screenshot you've provided. For us to better assist you, I'd recommend contacting directly our Customer Care Team through Chat or Phone. That way one of our support agents can check the setup you have in your QuickBooks Time account in a secure form.

Furthermore, in Time Offs team members and managers can access time entries and approvals required and any requests.

If you go to Time entries it will show the most recent time off created, and then Timesheets. You can always customize the display shown.

  • Choose to view by Day, Week, Month, or Pay period
  • Select Today to navigate to the current date and time
  • Use a calendar to go to a specific date range
  • In clicking on the Date header you can expand or collapse the date

You can also check this link to learn more about Approve and manage time off entries for team members in QuickBooks Time.

Post again in the Community if you have more questions. Have a great day!

If you click on the little download button next the the file, I downloaded the files quite easily?

I'm not sure if the link you have given is quite what I'm asking...?

If you can see the link, it should help you understand the picture that I'm looking at...

Will see if the other options re contacting Customer Care can help but if you can see the message and can help me here, that would also be great! Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Sam.

I appreciate you for sharing screenshots and additional details, @sytax.

I understand that you would like to see the active timesheets and remove the time off schedules.

As noted by my peer, you should be able to view it on a specific period, like the active timesheets shown in your screenshots, to help remove future time-off entries. Please see my attached screenshots below:

In addition, the QuickBooks Time mobile application has limited functions. This is why the ability to separate the future time off from the active track time is only available in the web browser.

Since some options aren't available on your screen, I recommend running QuickBooks Time in a private browser. It could be that your cache and cookies stored a lot of temporary files. It can cause odd behaviors in online web systems like QuickBooks Time performance.

We can use an incognito or a private browser to confirm browser-related issues by using these keyboard shortcut keys below:

  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Press CTRL + Shift P
  • Safari: Press Command Shift N
  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL Shift + N

Then sign in to your QuickBooks Time account and check if you're able to see and use this functions. If it works, go back to your regular browser and start clearing its cache. Alternatively, use another supported, up-to-date browser.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting QuickBooks Time Support team. Our phone or chat representatives can access your account in a secure session.

As always, feel free to ask if you have other QuickBooks Time navigation and ability concerns. I'll be right here to help. Keep safe and healthy.

Time Off leave shows at the top of Track Time Timesheet

Hi, apologies but I probably wasn't clear enough. When I was asking about this issue, it is when one is using the mobile phone app which is what I use to keep my time. However, every time that I switch between clients and want to make changes / add description about the current time that I'm working on, I have to keep scrolling from the leave (that's in April 2023) to "today" (being Nov 2022) because all the time off leave shows up at the top of my screen (refer to my screenshots below - blurbs included).

What you are showing or explaining relates to the desktop feature which I have no problems with the time keeping.

I know that you said the mobile app has limited features but I would have thought that since the mobile app is supposed to help people just keep time, then showing the time off leave on the app is not really something that needs to show up.

I would have thought that there is an option on the mobile app (or toggle feature) to show only timesheet so that any leave does not impact viewability? I'm sure I can't be the first person having this problem??

Otherwise, what happens when you have many staff putting in leave? Would that mean I would have to scroll down through many times to get to my current timesheet.

Please refer to my screenshots again and hopefully my notes make more sense now? Apologies the order of the images aren't correct. When it uploaded, it put it in the wrong order.

Hi sytax,

Thank you for your response. I understand that it would be easier to be able to have an option to customise the display of timesheets on mobile app. Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the QuickBooks Time mobile app? I've tried to replicate on my test file and it shows that the timesheets are arranged from newest to oldest.

Furthermore, I would recommend you to contact our Customer Care Team through chat or phone to further investigate on this one for you.

Feel free to post again if you need any help. Have a great day!
