Hi AlwaysLearning66,

 

Are you trying to give access to the employee through Employee portal? If yes, let's use the steps below to help you.

 

  1. Click on the Payroll tab.
  2. Click on Payroll Settings.
  3. Click on Employee Portal Settings.
  4. Tick the settings you wanted to give to employees, and under Access click on Grant Access for the employee you wanted to give access to.
  5. Click on Save.

The employee should be able to receive an email invite for them to create their own password.

Oh thank you for replying:)

The steps below were done when the accountant set up the employee however the incorrect email address was entered so the employee never got the email lol

I noticed the error, so I changed the employees email address to the correct one and then the system sent him an email to his correct address to verify the change. BUT he doesn't have log on details to go on and do the verification as he never received the FRIST email to set it up.

For us to better assist you with updating the employee's email address. I would recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. That way, one of our care agents can check your account in a secure form.

 

To contact the QBO Support:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with. You can also enter questions.
  4. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
  6. Start a chat with a support expert. Live chat M-F, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and S-S, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, AEDT.
  7. Call us. M-F, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, AEDT.
