Problem in connecting with YES Bank

Dear All,

 

This is with reference to my online chat with Sahana R Kandakur , I would like to inform you that I am not able to connect my bank account of Yes Bank with  YES BANK.

 

Recently the YES BANK has implemented CAPTCHA to logged into the bank account. After that we are unable to connect with YES Bank, It may be due to implementation of CAPTCHA. Kindly look into the matter and do the needful to get it rectified at the earliest.

This is really a big problem.

it gives an error of 185. and even after completing the Captcha. it is not able to fetch the transactions. please resolve this asap. this is a problem particularly with yes bank accounts.

Hi Kumar,

Welcome to QuickBooks Community.

 

Error 185 usually means that your financial institution requires more information than we can store. This error is common with certain Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) account types, which means that there's an additional security requirement beyond user ID and password, such as a token.

 

Sometimes, the error can be resolved with a little extra work, although it may reappear in the future. Try this:

 

Run 3 to 5 manual updates: Select Refresh all on the Bank Accounts page. After the first update, select Refresh all at least 2 more times and up to 4 more times. (Don't worry, the updates won't cause duplicate transactions.) If you're not prompted to answer additional security questions, then your automatic updates should begin to work normally.

Note: Your additional info is stored in a cookie, which could expire anytime, from a few days to not at all. If your cookies expire, you'll see error 185 again on the automatic updates. Follow the steps to manually refresh your accounts twice in a row to reset this cookie. If you're asked to answer the security question on the second manual update, then the automatic updates won't work for this financial institution. You'll need to manually refresh accounts for this bank and answer the security question each time.

 

If you see error 185 while manually refreshing your accounts, or if you still need additional assistance, please contact our Support Team.

We are trying to connect yes bank after entering OTP it's not showing main (saving/current) account.. it's showing FD Linked account we don't want to connect FD account.. this Error is created 26/04/2021 when Yes Bank lunched OTP security for login on desktop.

 

Please check and update main account to connected quickbook to keep record

Thanks for joining us here. Allow me to help you in linking your bank account to QuickBooks Online.

 

The most possible reason why some accounts aren't showing is due to a setting from your online banking. You'll want to seek some help from Yes Bank to see if there are restrictions when linking their system. If so, ask them to enable the option so you can connect your Yes Bank accounts to QuickBooks Online.

 

You'll want to check this link: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions. This contains different articles on how to fix banking errors you might encounter.

 

If this behavior continues, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team for further investigation.

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter "Yes Bank".
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  4. Choose a way to connect with them.

 

For now, what I can suggest is to manually upload the transactions from Yes Bank into QuickBooks Online. All you need is a file from the bank that you can import. Once done, you can now match and categorise them.

When we connect Yes Bank with our login id and password for txn. download to keep book after login in Quick-book it doesn't show current/saving main account.. it's show linked FD account as shown in screenshot.. please check with your technical team and come back to me

 

We have check profile and setting there is no option any restrictions in account

I appreciate you attaching a screenshot. This needs to be checked to see what exactly is going on why you're unable to link those account types. Please follow the steps I shared on how to get in touch with them.

 

Also, in the meantime, please consider the workaround I mentioned above, to manually upload the bank entries.
