Upload mass inventory

Uploading your inventory list to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is easy, @dlim-justrend-sg.

Before we begin, you have to prepare a spreadsheet of your inventory in Excel or Google Sheets. Once done, here's how to import the file to QBO:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online and then, go to the Settings icon.
  2. Then select Import Data and select Products and Services.
  3. Click Browse to upload the file. Choose the file, and then select Open.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Next, Map your information. Your Field represents the headers on your spreadsheet. From each drop-down ▼ menu, select the one that matches a field in QuickBooks Online.
  6. Then, click Next.
  7. If you see some cells highlighted in red, this means the cell is invalid. Verify the cell in your spreadsheet and try importing again.
  8. Click Overwrite all values for each product or service with the same name. Make sure everything looks correct because this can't be undone.
  9. Select Import.

To know details of the process, please open this article: Import products and services into QuickBooks Online.

Then, you can run whichever inventory reports you'd need to monitor those items you buy or sell in QBO. To get started, please visit this page: Use reports to see your sales and inventory status.

If you have further concerns uploading your inventory in QBO, please don't hesitate to post a comment below. I'll be always around to assist you. Have a good one.
