Hello, Pachinger.
I know a couple of troubleshooting steps to help you verify any updates with your bank connection and pull up your transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Before anything else, I want to make sure I've got everything covered. You can share with me the name of your bank or any error message you've encountered while pulling up your transactions. This way, I can provide the exact solution for this matter.
You can start your troubleshooting by manually downloading your latest available transactions (go to the Banking menu and select the Update button). Then, you'll have to sign in to your bank's website. This is to check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention. Once you make changes on the website (for example, login credentials and account info), you'll have to update QuickBooks as well.
For the complete guide, please see this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also includes links to specific download errors.
In case the issue persists, you can continue troubleshooting by clearing your browser's cache. Your browser saves files to load websites faster on your next visit. But over time, it'll get outdated, which can cause errors and performance issues using QBO.
Once everything is all set, make sure to review and categorise your transactions to keep your financial data accurate.
Also, I encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly (every month). This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect possible errors accordingly. You may want to check out this article to guide you in doing and fixing reconciliations in QBO: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
I'm all ears if you have other banking concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBO. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care always, Pachinger.
Hi Rea,
Thank you rea for your support!
Our bank account is with OCBC Singapore.
We already use QBO in the US and UK and both bank account connections update the transactions frequently (every day).
Our connection with OCBC needs to be reinstated every time we want to download transactions.
At least that process worked for the last 18 months and we were able to download all transactions of our 2 accounts with OCBC.
I tried to download April's transactions using the bank connection in QBO and it only downloaded transactions of 1 account but not the second one.
Nothing has changed on the bank side (at least there has been no notification about any change of API connections).
I'm more than happy to jump on a call to show live.
Best,
Christopher
