Creating a customised sales receipt

Hello there, Yang.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can customise your sales receipt forms if you have the old layout. Otherwise, you can only modify the look of your estimates and invoices using the new format. Follow these steps if you're using the old layout:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Custom form styles.
  2. Click New style.
  3. Choose the sales receipt.

After that, follow the Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts with the old layout dropdown of this article to personalise your sales receipts: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, importing a customised sales receipt format style into QBO is unavailable. It is only applicable to estimates and invoices. Refer to this article for details: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates.

In the meantime, you'll want to utilise a third-party app that lets you import customised sales receipts in QBO. Simply hover over to the Apps menu inside your QBO account and look for an app from there.

Additionally, you can check out this article to review the recorded sales transactions and their statuses in the Sales menu: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns with managing your sales receipts in QBO. I'll be here to lend a helping hand. Have a great day!
