QB Desktop 2006 (non US,UK,CA) backup restore

Hello there, apologies if this has been asked already: I have an older QB Desktop backup file .qbb but unable to restore it or open it. It's a backup from QB Desktop from 2006/07 and it's an International version. Wondering how I can make this work? (I no longer have access to my QB Desktop version, and it won't work with the new QB Desktop version either)

It's okay, @blubot. We're glad to share additional information on your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) backup file.

 

We understand that you want to restore your backup file to make it work again. However, it's from an older version of QuickBooks that's already a discontinued version and region of QuickBooks. 

 

The oldest QBTD version you can download or activate is 2010 from our website. QuickBooks 2008, 2007, and 2006 are old versions that are no longer supported. With that, we're unable to activate them as a new product.

 

In your case, we recommend reaching out to our Technical support team. You can ask for the best way to handle your backup file since it's already from an old version of QBDT and it's from an international region. Thank you for your reply. Your QuickBooks Support Team is not being helpful. They are unable to help and keep on saying I should contact another QB Support team...no solution is being offered. 

What else can I do?
