It's essential to keep your books in order, bmeijer. Don't worry; I'm here to help you sort things out.

Deleting the two reconciled deposits in your QuickBooks Online account causes discrepancies in your reconciliation report. If the transactions really need to be removed, we'll have to manually unreconcile the entries from the previous month, then re-reconcile with the correct data.

Let's start by reviewing your account. This helps you decide if you need to make other modifications. Here are helpful articles you can use:

If you already know what to change, follow these to edit and unreconcile the transactions:

  1. Open the Bookkeeping menu and go to Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account holding the transaction. Then hit Account history.
  3. Select the transaction you want to unreconcile to expand the view.
  4. Review the check column. If the transaction is reconciled, you'll see an R.
  5. Select the checkbox. This changes the letter in the box. Keep selecting it until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Close the account history.

I'm adding a snapshot for reference:

Finally, we recommend contacting your accountant to ensure everything is correctly done and keep the account organized.
