Can I undo a bank reconciliation for the previous period?

Yes, you can unreconcile that specific transaction to correct its details and previous reconciliation data, Zukiswa.

Since you'll only be updating one entry from your previous reconciliation, you can remove it manually to change its date. Otherwise, you can talk to your accountant to undo the entire process.

Whenever you're ready, here's how:

  1. From the Transactions menu, select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account with the transaction and select Account history.
  3. Locate the transaction in the list. If it was reconciled, you’ll see an “R” in the tick ✔ column.
  4. Select the transaction.
  5. In the tick ✔ column, select the box with the “R” until the box is blank.
  6. Click Save, then Yes to confirm. 82.png
