Hi there, brad35.
Thank you for posting here in QuickBooks Community.
Yes, Standard Bank SA is supported by QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks automatically downloads and categorizes your bank or credit card transactions for you. Let me help walk you through connecting your bank account in QuickBooks Online.
1. Go to the Banking tab located in the upper right.
2. Choose Connect Account from the landing page, or select Add account if you've already created an account.
3. Enter the name of your bank account and select if from the list.
4. Click Continue, then enter the username and password you use for your bank's website.
5. Choose the accounts you want to connect
6. Select the account type from the drop-down list for each account.
7. Choose the date range for the download.
8. Hit Connect.

This link isn't working at the moment. I have been using QuickBooks with Standard Bank for quite a while, but today is the 3rd day that I can't update my banking.
Hello there, @jlouw1.
I'm here to ensure you can update your Standard Bank transactions in QuickBooks. This way, you'll be able to keep your books up to date.
When you manually update your bank account in the Banking menu, your 3 days worth of transactions from Standard Bank should automatically flow in QuickBooks. Since your unable to do so, I'd recommend uploading your transactions using the WebConnect feature.
The WebConnect feature needs you to download your transactions from Standard Bank, then manually upload them. After you download, kindly follow these steps:
Once done, your recent downloaded transactions will be ready for review in the For Review tab. You can now match and categorise them. For the detailed steps, you can check out this article: Match and categorise bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also contains information on how to exclude your personal or duplicate transactions.
Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
Good day
I have been unsuccessfully been trying to link my Standard Bank account to Qb for 1 week now. please advise what steps i should follow to get this sorted?
Welcome to the Community, @janelle11.
I want to make sure your Standard Bank account will be connected to QuickBooks Online (QBO). And I'm here to provide some troubleshooting steps to sort it out.
Before we start, may I know if you received an error message upon connecting your bank account? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
In the meantime, let's log in to your QBO account using a private browser. It's possible that the browser you're using had a data issue, thus causing unusual errors in QuickBooks. To open a private browser, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:
If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.
Once you're able to connect your bank account, QuickBooks will automatically download your 90 days bank transactions. Then, you can categorize them to put them into the correct accounts.
Let me know how it goes, @janelle11. I want to make sure this is taken care of.
