Bank register not in date order and not showing running balance.

Hello there, @tonibw. Welcome to the Community.

Let's go to your bank register and make sure the Date arrow is pointing the way (up or down) you want your transactions to be ordered and include the Running Balance column to show your account's balance in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The order of your transactions in your bank register depends on whether you want to display them from newest to oldest (Date arrow down) or oldest to newest (Date arrow up). Then, you may have removed the Running Balance column, that's why your bank register isn't showing your running balance.

To fix the issue, go back to your bank register (select Accounting menu and go to Chart of accounts) and make sure to include the Running Balance column and the Date arrow pointing the way (up or down) you want your transactions to be ordered. Please see the screenshot below for your reference.

In case the display error continues, you can perform some troubleshooting steps. You may have a browser cache-related issue in your account. Your browser saves files to load websites faster on your next visit. But over time, it'll get outdated, which can cause performance issues using QBO. You can refer to this article for the complete guide: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Also, I encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBDT regularly (every month). This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect possible errors accordingly. You may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in doing and fixing reconciliations in QBDT: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

If you have other concerns about managing transactions in your bank register using QBO, I'm always ready to help. Take care, @tonibw.
