Can I have multiple windows open in Online, the way I can in Desktop? If so, how?

Hello, newmuizfinance.

Yes, it is possible to have multiple windows open in QuickBooks Online. You can open several tabs or windows within your web browser to work on different tasks simultaneously. This feature allows you to switch between other areas of QuickBooks Online, such as invoices, expenses, reports, and more, without losing your progress in each window. To open multiple windows, you can easily launch QuickBooks Online in a new tab or window in your web browser.

Here's how:

For Incognito/Private Browsing:

Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + N" or head over to the menu (vertical ellipsis) found on the rightmost side of your browser and click on "New Incognito Window."

For Firefox:

Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + P" or head over to the menu (hamburger button) found on the rightmost side of your browser and click on "New Private Window."

For Internet Explorer:

Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + P" or head over to the gear icon found on the rightmost side of your browser, hover over "Safety," and then click on "InPrivate Browsing."

For Safari:

Use the "Command + Shift + N" keyboard shortcut or click on File > New Private Window.

For Microsoft Edge:

Use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + P" or head over to the menu (ellipsis) found on the rightmost side of your browser and click on "New InPrivate Window."

Additionally, I encourage you to visit our Get Started with QuickBooks Online guide for reference. From there, you can read some of the additional resources we offer to help you going.

I'll lend a helping hand if you need further assistance. Keep safe always. Have a great day!
