I'm here to walk you through the process of converting your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online.
To start, you'll have to make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date. Then, ensure that your Total Targets is less than 350,000, you can press Ctrl + 1 on your keyboard to verify it. If it exceeds, I suggest sending your file to our Data Migration team so we can help convert your file.
After that, we can now start importing your desktop file to QuickBooks Online. I'll guide you how.
Note: Only QuickBooks Online Plus can track stock. It uses the FIFO method.
Once your company file is all set, let's get started with QuickBooks Online. I suggest checking out these articles for more information.
Additionally, I encourage you to visit our Get Started with QuickBooks Online guide for reference. From there, you can read some of the additional resources we offer to help you going.
Your success in importing your data is our top priority. For more questions, you can click the Reply button to let us know. This way, we'll be able to assist.
