Good Morning, My account does not sync for the past 6 days. If I try to relink the account Nedbank does not appear in the list of banks. Please resolve this asap.

I've come to help you relink your Nedbank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @userroelof. This way, you're able to sync your latest transactions and manage them accordingly.

Let's start by knowing the possible reasons you're unable to sync your Nedbank transaction to QBO:

  • The bank is performing system maintenance.
  • There are notifications on your bank’s website that need your attention.

When your bank is originally connected to QBO and you're unable to see its name on the list once you relink, this could be an issue related to your browser's cache. There are times that the browser is full of frequently accessed pages, thus causing some unusual responses to the system.

You can start isolating this matter by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox)
  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go to the Banking menu and relink your Nedbank account using their URL. This is to make sure you're using the financial institution's correct listing. If you're able to see the bank's name on the list and connected the account again, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performances issue. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

After you've reconnected your account, all your latest transactions will automatically download. All you have to do is to review and/or match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. For the step-by-step guide, kindly refer to this article: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It also contains instructions about excluding personal and duplicate transactions.

Additionally, I'd also recommend reconciling your accounts every month. This is to monitor your income, expenses, and detect errors accordingly. To learn more about this, you can refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. It includes information about editing completed reconciliations.

I want to make sure I've got everything covered. You can share with me any error message you've encountered while syncing your data and relinking your Nedbank account. This way, I can provide an exact solution.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other banking concerns or inquiries about managing your transactions in QBO, I'm just around to help. Take care always.
