When trying to import customers I get the message File exceeded 2mb?

I got cover, @trishthom782.

I'll share the steps on how to get past the file size message. While there isn't a limit on the file size, you'll want to check first the speed of your internet connection. It plays a big part during the import process in QBO. Run a Google Speed Test to assess your Internet connection speed.

After that, let's open your account via an incognito window or a private browser. This is to check if the browser you're using is updated. The regular update creates a big impact on your account's performance.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome).
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox).
  • Press Command + Shift + N (Safari).

Once logged in, try importing again. If it's working fine, it’s a good idea to clear the cache to start on a clean slate. This process helps the browser to fetch the latest version of the webpage and faster browsing experience.

Check out this guide to learn more about performance overview in QBO: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?

I've also added this link here in case you need help with other tasks in QBO. It has topics with articles, just browse for topics that suit your concern.

Let me know if you still have questions or concerns with customers or the account. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a great rest of the week.
