When will Quickbooks Online allow the specification of the "Class" field on imported supplier bills and customer invoices?

We use classes to specify cost centres and do reporting. However, importing classes is not possible and therefore requires duplication and potential human error. When will this field be included in the import format?

When will Quickbooks Online allow the specification of the "Class" field on imported supplier bills and customer invoices?

Hello there, johan-masanamine.

I can see the importance of having the ability to import classes to eliminate manual entry.

Yes, you are correct. Currently, the option to import classes isn't possible in QuickBooks Online. As an alternative, you may consider looking for a third-party app that can be integrated into QBO. Just click the Apps menu to check for available apps.

Also, you can submit a product suggestion inside QuickBooks. This way, our product engineers can review your request, and once approved they can include it in future product updates. I'll show you how.

  1. Login to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  3. Select Feedback.
  4. Enter your product suggestion.
  5. Once done, click Next to submit.

You can also use this link to submit your request: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.

I've got this helpful resource you can read to learn in completing some QuickBooks Online process: Get started with QuickBooks Online.

You're always welcome to post a reply if you have further questions or other concerns about class or managing your data. I'll be around to help you.
