I got you covered, moniqueh1905-gma.

 

To delete transactions such as invoices or expenses in your QuickBooks Online account, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Sales/Invoicing or Expenses menu.
  2. Click the Invoices or Expenses tab.
  3. Put a check mark on the box before the Date column. This is to select all transactions. 
  4. Select the Batch actions drop-down menu and choose Delete or Void transactions.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

For other transactions like sales receipt, quotes, or bills, you will have to open them one at a time then delete. Here's a link for reference: Void or delete transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

If you want to delete everything and start over, you can reset your account within 90 days of signup. Please take note that the process is permanent. This is for QuickBooks Online Plus, Essentials, or Simple Start users only.

 

Note: If you're using the Accountant version of QuickBooks Online, don't follow this process for your own firm’s books. It could cause irreversible damage.

 

Warning: This process will delete all data in the company file. Once you delete, you can’t restore it.

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Company.
  2. Change the URL to include /purgecompany. Example: Change https://sg.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage to https://sg.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany 
  3. The next screen will provide a summary of the items to delete. Type YES to delete the data, then click OK.

Things to know:

  • If the industry you want to use is different than the one showing, feel free to change it.
  • Mark whether you would like the system to create accounts based on your industry or start with an empty chart of accounts.
  • Once your selections are complete, select Wipe Data. When the deletion is complete, you will be rerouted to your homepage.

Once complete, you will be routed back to your homepage.

If you are using QBO Simple Start, you should open a new blank QBO account.
