This app is ridiculous in its bank transaction matching: it doesn’t show you the bank detail and the chosen transaction info side by side.

Intuit pls rethink.

I understand the importance of efficiency and accuracy in the matching process, Robman. I can share why you're unable to show the bank details and chosen transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you connect a bank in QuickBooks, the downloaded data is based on what your bank shares with us and how it is published online. I would encourage you to reach out to your financial institution. They have the tools to set up in your bank setting to show the bank details in QuickBooks.

Furthermore, I would encourage you to reconcile your accounts every month. This way, you can monitor your transactions and detect any possible errors accordingly. For the step-by-step guide, please check out this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you need further assistance matching your bank transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be more than happy to help you. Have a great day.

shot for the reply! I'm talking about the phone app - as opposed to the online login. I should have thought it would end up in the general chat...was actually hoping for a feedback button like there is online, but couldn't find one. btw I'm using an iPhone.

Thanks for checking in with us, Robman.

I understand how important it is for your company to see the bank details in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. However, this option is unavailable and you can only access this feature in eh web version. We see consumer feedback as an opportunity to improve the numerous features of our products. I'd recommend giving our engineers direct feedback. They may look into this suggestion and incorporate it into future updates. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Hit Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Furthermore, you can visit this page to stay up to date on the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online. To see the bank details, just access your QBO account on the web. Then, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Transactions on the left menu and choose Bank Transactions.
  2. Click the Gear icon.
  3. Scroll down to Transaction details.
  4. Select Show bank details.

Once QuickBooks downloads your transactions, you need to review and categorize your transactions. To streamline the review process, you may create a bank rule that automatically categorizes transactions for you.

Please leave a comment below if you have other questions while working with your bank entries in QBO. I'm more than happy to help you again. Have a good one.
