I want to deactivate/cancel my account, we are closing the business

It's sad to see you go, mooinooi. However, it's my goal to walk you through the cancellation of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

 

The method to cancel QBO will depend on where you signed up for your subscription. If you purchased online directly from Intuit, refer to these steps:

 

  1. Log in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. Go to the menu screen and click the Gear icon.
  3. Select your email on the Settings page.
  4. Click Manage your Intuit account.
  5. Select Products & Billing, then click your company name. Doing so takes you to your subscription page.
  6. Find the product you want to cancel and select Cancel subscription.
  7. Fill out the multiple choice survey on why you're canceling your account and click Continue to cancel.
  8. You'll route to a page that shows product benefits and the last day to use your subscription. Select Continue to cancel.
  9. Click Got it.

We retain your data for a year for paid and trial subscriptions. It enables you to continue where you left off in case you decide to return. If you don't choose to renew your subscription or reactivate your account during this time, the file will stay in a read-only state.
