Number format displays with $ sign but I want format with no sign before or after the amount?

I appreciate you for posting here in the Community, Andries. Let me share further details regarding your concern about removing the symbol for currency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

I recognize how beneficial it is for you and your business to have the option to remove the $ before or after the amount of your transactions. However, the option to change or update it is currently unavailable. For now, the only option is to customize the number format from the Accounts and Settings menu. See the screenshot below:

Having this feature would be great, as it will help you seamlessly view the amounts in your transactions. That said, I recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development Team so they can review it and consider implementing it in the future. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

 

After submitting your feature request, you can track its progress through this link: Customer Feedback. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for when this feature will be available.
