PLEASE HELP URGENTLY - REQUIRE KEY CODE

Hi there, i need help with an urgent problem! I bought a copy of QB 2013 a couple of years ago but i was still working on my version 5. But now the PC that i had the version 5 on crashed and i cannot get it to work again, so I installed the 2013 version but i cannot transfer my data from 5 to 2013. I checked and i need version 2006 as a go between to open and save the files again so that i can import into 2013. I found a copy of 2006 simple start online which i downloaded but now i need the key code to install it.

 

Please please help this is all my data from 2005 till now!!!

Let's get this sorted out for you to access the 2005 QuickBooks data, Pikes_ZA. 

 

Outdated versions of QuickBooks have different system requirements than the newer supported ones. In your case, we'll need to contact our Technical Support Team to register and activate your QuickBooks 2006. Then, create a backup copy of QuickBooks 2005 and upgrade it to QuickBooks 2006. Once done, upgrade it to an edition that is 3 years higher. The backup is essential because once it's updated, it can no longer be downgraded.

 

Then, use the .QBB file to restore the information anytime. From there, restore the backup company file to another 3-year version. From 2019 to our 2021 trial version to use QuickBooks in Windows 10. Please note that our trial versions will only work for up to 30 days. The option to skip this process and jump directly to the newest versions is unavailable. Everything must be done in the hierarchy.

PLEASE HELP URGENTLY - REQUIRE KEY CODE

Hi there thank you for your prompt response it is greatly appreciated, however some of the information is incorrect, let me explain my situation again.

 

I am currently using QuickBooks Version 5 which was released in 1997 for Windows 3.5, I have been working on it since the year 2005 and have been very happy with it. A couple of years ago I purchased a copy of QuickBooks Pro 2013 which i thought might come in handy one day since I managed to get my version 5 to work on my Windows 7 PC - WOW

 

Anyway that PC crashed and I could not resurrect my version 5 again which is a crisis since all my accounting data is on it. So I installed my version Pro 2013 but I cannot get the data onto it since the version 5 data is too old. I read through my Pro 2013 installation guide and it informed me that if my file is from 2003 or earlier (Version 5 in my case) then I will first have to upgrade to Version 2006 and then from there to Version 2013.

 

OK so i managed to download a Version 2006 Simple Start from Raka Accounting but they do not have a key code so I cannot install it. What I urgently require is a Key Code for Version 2006 Simple Start PLEASE.

 

I hope this explains everything, thank you in advance.

I appreciate you for elaborating on your concern, @Pikes_ZA. As an additional insight, you can get the key code of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) depending on where you bought it.

 

Since you got it from a retail store, I'd suggest you look for the brightly colored sticker on the original CD envelope. You'll see the license and product number from there.

 

Once done, you can now proceed with installing your QBDT software

 

You also want to manage your QBDT account and services by logging in to the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS). Here, you'll discover information on your QuickBooks subscription.

Are you using QB v5 South Africa version? and do you need to upgrade your data to QB Desktop 2013 South Africa version as well?

YES, that is exactly what I need to do, but the installation guide says that I need to upgrade from version 5 to version 2006 and then to version 2013

We couldn't share any installation code for QB Desktop South Africa version. We will need to evaluate the source file. Can you send us the backup for evaluation? If we are able upgrading your file to QB Desktop 2013, you may consider to purchase our upgrade service. Contact us in private for details.
