Purchase Order Error in QB Online Plus

I have spent way too much time trying to create a PO in QB Online Plus.  The error message I keep getting is that I need to "select an account for this transaction".  I have tried many different suggestions from the Community to fix it.  I then watched a Tutorial, and I see that there are two additional columns in the Tutorial that isn't in the version I am using..  and those columns are "Product/Service" and "SKU".  The first column I have is "Description".  I can see how that makes a difference.

How do I fix this please?

Purchase Order Error in QB Online Plus

Based on the snapshot you’ve added, you’re correct that your options lack some columns specific to Product/Service and SKU. This explains why you’re asked to add an account as the product items are set with a designated account.

 

To rectify this, we can perform some fixes that help eliminate unusual product behavior that could have been the cause of the missing columns. With that, let’s proceed to log in to your company file using a private or incognito window. This is a helpful tool for troubleshooting browser-related difficulties as it won't preserve any history. The following are the keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Once you have successfully added your accountant, switch back to your default browser and delete its cache. The best way to give your browser a fresh start is to clear the cache or cookies. If not, using one of the supported browsers can also be a smart choice.
