How to create a new custom report but there is not a 'create' button anywhere on screen. I used to just use an old one, change details, run new report & save as new one.

How to create a new custom report but there is not a 'create' button anywhere on screen. I used to just use an old one, change details, run new report & save as new one.

Let’s work together to ensure you can create a custom report in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @accounting629.

 

To begin with, please know that the option to + Create new report is exclusive to users of QBO Advanced. However, you can still create custom reports the old way, which you're already familiar with.

 

But considering that you're unable to save the report, I recommend using your browser's private or incognito window to determine if a webpage issue is affecting the saving of your customized report. Depending on your browser type, you can use the following shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you’re able to save the report, please return to your regular browser and clear the cache for a fresh start. You can also switch to other installed supported browsers, which is a good alternative.

 

In addition, QuickBooks allows you to export multiple reports and lists into individual Excel files contained in a single zip file in one step.
