Journal posted before I was finished. How do I continue with the same journal number?

I am entering a journal for an entire month's transactions and I wasn't finished, but it is now posted

Journal posted before I was finished. How do I continue with the same journal number?

I'll share insights on how to continue using the same journal number, info-uberbatt.

 

Since the journal entry has already been posted, simply change the journal number to the previous number you used when creating the transaction. See screenshot for reference.

Also, if you need to swap debits and credits or delete the journal entry, you may open this article for reference: Reverse or delete a journal entry in QuickBooks Online.
