How to close VAT period on quickbooks

Good to have you here, abigail3.

You can close the VAT period by marking it's return as filed in QuickBooks Online. I'll be glad to show you how:

  1. Click VAT on the left side.
  2. Click the Returns tab on the VAT page.
  3. Click Prepare Return under Next return file section.
  4. Choose the correct information in the Filing period, Start date, End date, and Filing date fields.
  5. Check all amounts are correct and click Mark as Filed.
  6. Print a copy of the tax return and go to your tax office to submit your tax return.

For more details about filing and paying VAT, you can check out this article:

File and pay Tax/GST.

I've got a link here where you can find articles about managing VAT: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/vat/misc/02/vat-tax-za?label=QuickBooks%20Online.

I'm just a reply away if you need anything else with VAT.
