You can close the VAT period by marking it's return as filed in QuickBooks Online. I'll be glad to show you how:
- Click VAT on the left side.
- Click the Returns tab on the VAT page.
- Click Prepare Return under Next return file section.
- Choose the correct information in the Filing period, Start date, End date, and Filing date fields.
- Check all amounts are correct and click Mark as Filed.
- Print a copy of the tax return and go to your tax office to submit your tax return.
