Am in Egypt , I Can’t find my bank also I can't add record manually . What can I do ?

Hello there, @Baher Mousa.

I'm here to help you track and manage your bank transactions in QuickBooks.

First, may I asked for the name of the bank you're trying to add? If you can't find your bank when you search, check the following:

  • Verify the spelling. Make sure the spelling is exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to search for your bank. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Search for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card."Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

If you can't still find your bank, its possible that its not yet supported. You can follow these steps so you can send a request so that your bank will be supported by QuickBooks:

  1. When you enter your bank and click Find, you'll get the message: Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported bank.
  2. Click on the button Request support for your bank.
  3. Enter your bank's website in the field provided.
  4. Select Request

You can read through this article for more detailed steps: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

On the other hand, you can manually add your bank directly to the chart of account. Then, you can download the transactions from your bank and import it to QuickBooks. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Choose the Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Click the New button.
  4. Enter the account details.
  5. Click the Save and Close button.

Once completed, you can now download your bank transactions. Here are the supported file that you can import:

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

Make sure that the file size doesn't go beyond the maximum of 350 KB. You can check it by clicking the file and choosing Properties. You can refer to this article for the step-by-step instructions on how to import it: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
