You can connect your bank account through the Banking page. Here are the detailed steps:
- Sign in to your QBO account.
- Click on Transactions or Banking at the left pane.
- Tap on Connect account on the landing page.
- Search for your bank, then Continue.
- Sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password.
- Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
- Select any accounts you want to connect like your savings, checking, or credit card. Then choose the matching account type from your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
- Set how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
- Select Connect.

Once your bank is connected, the system downloads your transactions automatically. You need to review and categorize them to make sure they’re categorized correctly.
