Can I change the reconciliation end date after I have done the reconciliation

You're unable to change the end date of a previous reconciliation, Belinda. However, you have the option to manually unreconcile the entire period to correct the said information. I'll guide you on how to do this below.

  1. Go to Transactions and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account holding the transactions, then click View register.
  3. Select the transaction you want to unreconcile to expand the view.
  4. Proceed to the column that has a checkmark on its header.
  5. Select the checkbox. This will change the status or letter in the box. Keep selecting it until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  6. Click Save.

After that, go ahead and redo the reconciliation using the correct end date.

Furthermore, you can also invite an accountant to undo the entire reconciliation for you. Ensure they're using QuickBooks Online Accountants (QBOA). This version has special tools that can undo reconciled transactions at once.

Moreover, QuickBooks automatically generates a report whenever you complete a reconciliation. If you wish to view, print, or export it, check out this article for the complete guide: Reconciliation report in QuickBooks Online.
