I have seen multiple articles questioning the connection with Emirates NBD (biggest bank in the UAE), but I cannot find any solutions from any of the Quickbooks support team. This issue has been ongoing for me for 3 months. Every time I receive the same error:
Emirates NBD - Business Banking
http://www.emiratesnbd.com/en/
00971 [removed]
We couldn't connect to Emirates NBD - Business Banking.
Try connecting again in a few hours. (105)
The Emirates NBD integration was the main reason we decided to transition from Quickbooks and this process took two of our team members 1 month of non-stop work to complete. Emirates NBD is the largest regional bank, so this should be a much higher priority for the Quickbooks engineering team. As demonstrated in the attached screenshot from the quickbooks account, Quickbooks clearly advertise Emirates NBD as being the main bank you integrate with in the UAE. We also have emails with your support team telling us the Emirates NBD integration was possible and easy before we started the time consuming process of transitioning all our accounts to Quickbooks.
Have any customers in the UAE been able to successfully integrate their Quickbooks account with either Emirates NBD SmartBusiness or Business Online? Please advise if so because manually adding the bank statements is not efficient.
Hi there, @Markk12.
Thanks for visiting the Community. I'm here to help you sort this out.
A bank error code 105 usually means a problem from your bank's end. Their website may be undergoing some maintenance or have server issues. This can stop the online bank connection to QuickBooks.
As a workaround, check your bank or credit card's website to make sure everything is working on their end.
Then, manually update the online bank connection in QuickBooks by following these steps:
Furthermore, since you're getting this for quite a while now, I recommend reaching to our Customer Support Team. They can investigate more of what's causing this error and help you fix it. . They can investigate more of what's causing this error and help you fix it.

4. Choose either Start a chat or Call us.
Once everything is fixed and your bank account is connected, QuickBooks will automatically download your transactions. Then, you'll need to organize your transactions by categorizing them.
Keep me posted if you have any other questions with regards to connecting your bank to QuickBooks Online. I'll make sure to get back to you as soon as I can. Have a great day ahead.
Hi Abegail, please note I have already done all these steps. This has been going on for three months.
I have been speaking to your customer support team for months as well. They are not helping me.
The only thing I can see is that Emirates NBD changed their online banking system from the old system smartBUSINESS (https://login.smartbusiness.ae/) to the new system businessONLINE (https://businessonline2.emiratesnbd.com) for their customers at the start of this year. This makes me think that Quickbooks had an integration with smartBUSINESS but never established a full integration with businessONLINE. Please could you confirm this?
If you have other clients with no issues using the new businessONLINE platform then please could you advise why I can’t even see this 'Update' button through my Quickbooks dashboard?
I hear you, @Markk12.
Thank you for sharing the screenshot as the result after following the suggestion shared by my colleague above. Allow me to share some insight about the connection between your bank in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Yes, we have been receiving reports from other customers about the problem in connecting accounts from Emirates NBD UAE to QBO banking feeds. Tickets are still open and have been escalated to our engineering team for further investigation.
For now, let's consider manually uploading a CSV file to get the latest online banking transactions from your bank. To do so, select the Upload option under the Link account menu on the Banking Page.
I'm also including this article to avoid issues in uploading your transactions: Fix Issues while Importing Bank Transactions using CSV File Format.
Now you're able to upload and get the list of your latest transactions. And here is the reference you can use to review and put them into the correct accounts in QBO: Categorise and Match Online Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Online.
We appreciate your patience as we're working on this. Don't forget to tag my name, @JonpriL, if you've got other concerns about online banking and uploading transactions in QuickBooks. Take care and stay safe, @Markk12!
Hi Jon, thank you for acknowledging there is a problem with the Emirates NBD integration. I've been told this is only an issue with my Emirates NBD account for months.
I am aware of the manual statement upload process. But I'm sure you can appreciate this is added work for us each day and the automatic sync with Emirates NBD is one of the main reasons we switched from Sage to Quickbooks.
Since it is the largest regional bank I'm hoping this is high up on your engineers schedule? Please could you provide a timeframe for when this integration will be complete?
Thank you for coming back to the Community, Markk12.
I know the relevance of getting your bank feeds connection working smoothly. This feature saves time because transactions are automatically downloaded and you can categorize them right away.
Currently, we’re unable to provide a definite time frame when the issue is resolved. Rest assured, this is taken care of with utmost urgency.
I won't be leaving you empty-handed here. That’s why I’m adding a link that will guide you on how to match your transactions so you can balance your account easily: Reconcile an account.
In case you still run into any roadblocks when using your bank feeds or manually uploading bank or credit transactions, these articles contain solutions on how to resolve them.
These resources will help you move forward with your online banking concern, Markk12.
