How can I remove bank account which has already added

Welcome to the Community space, @ausolutions2u.

I can guide you to the steps in removing your bank account in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Before doing so, ensure your bank account is not connected to online banking. This is to avoid any errors in the future. If your bank is connected to online banking, I recommend disconnecting it before deleting. I’d be glad to guide you how.

To disconnect an account in QBO:

  1. Go to the Transaction or Banking menu, and then select the Banking tab.
  2. Select the account you want to delete. Click the Edit pencil icon and select Edit account info1.JPG
  3. In the Account window, select Disconnect this account on save2.JPG
  4. Click on Save and Close.

Then to remove the account in your Chart of Accounts:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the account you want to delete in the list.
  3. Click on the drop-down arrow beside View register and select Make inactive. Making the account inactive is the other way of deleting it.

I’d also recommend checking with your accountant for additional guidance in deleting your account. This way, we can ensure your accounts are accounted for. If you’re not affiliated with one, you can visit our Intuit Find-A-ProAdvisor site to find certified professionals near you. Or, you can check this link for the detailed steps on how to invite an accountant in your QBO account.

Let me also add this article that you can use for reference whenever you’re ready to reconcile your accounts: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This link provides detailed information on how to match your bank statements and your chart of accounts accurately.

You’re always welcome to leave a reply in this thread if there’s anything else you need help with your QBO account. I'm only a few clicks away. Keep safe!
