The undo reconciliation feature is available in the international version as well, Ffkiprop.

Let's ensure you're logged in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant version. This way, you can undo the reconciliation.

Once you're signed in, here's how you can undo the reconciliation:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Click Reconcile, then select History by account.
  3. Select the account you want to undo.
  4. Find the reconciliation list.
  5. Click View report to open the report.
  6. Review the discrepancies.
  7. Click the drop-down arrow in the Action column, then click Undo.
  8. Select Yes, then click Undo to confirm.

You can refer to this article for more information: Undo a client’s reconciliation in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Hi Kristine,

As I was saying there is no undo  button, just the option to print reconciliation report. I am logged in as accountant in the company. Please see attached picture

Your access may not have allowed you to undo reconciliation, fkiprop.

There are different level of access for QuickBooks Online Accountant. The Full Accessuser has access to accounting features and books, such as the Undo reconciliation tool. Your user permissions may have been set to Basic or Custom.

I recommend contacting the master admin of your accounting firm. You can request them to change your user permission from there. Once granted, let them perform the steps below:

  1. Go to Team from the left menu.
  2. In the Access tab, locate and select the team member.
  3. Go to the Firm Administration and Books tab.
  4. Choose Full from the Access drop-down.
  5. Select the Client Access tab.
  6. Check the box beside the client's company.
  7. Click Save.

The screenshot below shows you the last five steps. For detailed instructions, visit this article: Changing Team Member's Access. Note that the article is for the UK but it applies to all regions.

Once done, you'll be able to see the Undo option from the History by account page.

Hello @angielcm,

As of the moment, the Undo Reconciliation feature for an entire session is only available for all Accountant users using their QuickBooks Online Accountant account.

With this, let's consider manually removing your transactions from the Reconciliation window to undo them. Let me show you how.

  1. Go to Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find your bank account from the list of accounts.
  4. Under ACTION, select View register.
  5. Review your VAT transaction.
  6. On the Check column, remove the status.
  7. Click Save.

In the same manner, here's an article you can read to learn more about how you can undo a reconciled transaction: Undo and remove transactions from reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.

However, if you still wish to accomplish your goal easily as describe by the suggestions above, let's invite your accountant to access your company data. To do so:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, select Manage Users.
  3. Select Accounting firms.
  4. Click Invite.
  5. Enter the name and email address of your accountant.
  6. Click Save.

On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand.
