You can create a check for the overpayment or credit of your customer so you can match it to your downloaded transaction. I'm here to help you accomplish this.
- Go to the Plus icon.
- Under Vendors, select Check.
- Select your customer and your bank account.
- On the CATEGORY column, select your accounts receivable.
- Enter your customer's overpayment or credit amount.
- Click Save and close.
After following the step's above, you'll have to link the check to your customer overpayment or credit amount. Let me show you how:
- Go to the Plus icon.
- Under Customers, select Receive payments.
- On the Customer field, select your customer with the overpayment.
- Select the check you recently created.
- Click Save and close.
