When you're connected to online banking, QBO automatically downloads your latest transactions. Once some are missing from your online accounts, you can start manually downloading them. This will refresh the connection between your bank and the QBO system. Here's how:

Then, in case the downloads seem slow or stuck, the issue may be on the bank’s end. You'll have to sign in to your bank’s website to
check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention. Once you make changes on the website (i.e. login credentials and account info), you'll have to update QuickBooks as well. Here's how:
