QBO and Bank Connection

HelloQB
I am trying to connect my HDFC Bank to QBO to automatically fetch transactions from the bank. but not getting automated and showing the error code of 103.
It had been working well all these years...this is a recent development.

Thanks and regards

QBO and Bank Connection

I can share a way to fix this, OiMedia.

Error 103 happens when your banking credentials in QuickBooks Online don't match the bank account you're trying to connect to. Let's ensure to enter the correct user ID and password for your bank. You can log in to your bank website by opening a new window on your browser to confirm bank access. If you're unable to log in, please try to connect to your HDFC bank again. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. If you're connecting for the first time, select Connect account on the landing page. Or click Link account if you've already connected online banking accounts.
  3. In the Search field, you can enter your bank's web address or enter your bank's name.
  4. Choose the correct bank account in the search result.
  5. If your web browser auto-fills the user ID and password field, you can clear them to ensure it doesn't put the old info.
  6. Manually enter your user ID and password for your bank. If your bank offers a Show option, select it so you can confirm you entered the password correctly.
  7. Hit Continue.
  8. Your bank should connect successfully now. If you see error 103 again, select Go back. Repeat steps 4 through 7 with a different option from the search results.

You can check out this article for more detailed steps: Fix bank error 103.

In addition, I've included this helpful material to ensure your downloaded bank transactions are put in the correct accounts in QuickBooks Online: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the prompt response.
However, I have been through Steps 4 through 7 several times with various options of the same bank but to not avail.

I am able to log directly into the bank portal with the exact same credentials!

Please help.

QBO and Bank Connection

Connecting your bank account in QuickBooks is our topmost priority here, @OiMedia.

I appreciate all the steps you've taken so far to resolve the HDFC 103 error in QuickBooks Online.

With this, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can review your account in a secure environment and send a ticket to our engineers for investigation.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu, then click Contact Us
  2. Type your concern in the box and tap Let's talk
  3. Click Chat, then complete the required information and submit the request.

Our experts are available M-F from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, IST. Make sure to contact them within business hours to ensure a quick response.

Once connected, I'd suggest refreshing the connection to get the latest transactions. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Banking tab on the left side.
  2. Click the Update button.
  3. Then review and categorise the downloaded data.

As an alternative, you can manually upload bank transactions. This way, you can categorise and reconcile the data regularly.

Feel free to visit the articles below for your future reference. These pages contain steps on how to manage your chart of accounts and also fix some bank errors.

Thanks!
The Live Chat with Ryan was also inconclusive.
After an excruciating Q&A, he said, "I will be endorsing this case to the engineers."
