Thank you for reaching out here in the Community, accounts513. We'll make sure to help you connect your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We appreciate you providing the name of your bank and I've checked our records, however, there's no reported case about this one. To better isolate this issue, we can perform basic browser troubleshooting to improve and speed up your browser. You may be unable to connect to Westpac banking due to the number of cookies and caches. Here's how:

  1. Restart your browser.
  2. You may run your payroll in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then you may see if it fixes the problem and gets started on the tasks at hand. Nevertheless, you can use another supported browser.

If the same thing happens, we recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this issue.

In the meantime, we can download an updated list of your transactions from your bank's website and upload them to QuickBooks using a CSV file.

Moreover, I'm adding this article if you need help categorising your imported entries by matching or adding them to avoid duplicate data: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to leave a reply if you need further assistance with managing your bank to QuickBooks. We are always around to help, accounts513. Have a good one.
