Why can I no longer connect to an automated bank feed for my Deutsche Bank AG Account?

Hi there, natashastephens.

I'll provide different information and steps so you're able to connect to an automated bank feed for your Deutsche Bank AG Account.

May I ask if you received an error while connecting your account? I'd appreciate any details so I can share an accurate solution.

In the meantime, I'd suggest connecting your account using a private browser to help us determine if this is a browser-related issue. This might have been caused by too much data saved on your browser, the reason you're no longer connect to your account.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using.

  • For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

If the problem persists, you'll need to go to the Banking page in QuickBooks and click the pencil icon on the top right of the bank. Then, choose Edit sign in info button and re-enter your login credentials and try to connect again.

If the issue continues to occur, I advising to sign in to your bank’s website from QuickBooks to check if the issue has something to do with your bank. You can also verify from there if there's an issue that can cause it to lose connection with QBO every time there are updates.

  1. Go to the Banking tab. Then, the Banking menu.
  2. Select on Link account.
  3. Search for your bank and select it.
  4. Select the URL listed in the window.
  5. Sign in using your bank website username and password. Some banks have multiple login URLs. Make sure you’re using the same one listed in QuickBooks.
  6. Check your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts. Any display or login issues on the bank’s end can block downloads.
  7. Also, check your bank’s website for any new security requirements. Even something as simple as updating your bank password can block QuickBooks.
  8. If everything looks good, go back to the Banking tab in QuickBo
  9. Select the blue tile for the bank account.
  10. Select Update.

Why can I no longer connect to an automated bank feed for my Deutsche Bank AG Account?

Thanks for getting back to me.  The problem is my bank is no longer listed.  This may be to do with changes to banking rules, I am based in Germany.  I have attached a screen shot which shows that my bank Deutsche Bank AG is not listed.

Glad to see you back, @natashastephens.

I appreciate the details you've shared. Since your bank isn't listed, you can request support for Deutsche Bank AG through QuickBooks Online. While waiting for the bank's integration, you can manually get the transactions from your bank's website.

Here's how to request support for your bank:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, select Banking.
  2. Select the Link account button and click Connect to a different bank.
  3. Enter the partial name of your bank and scroll down a little.
  4. Select the Still can't find your bank button.
  5. Input the complete bank's name and the bank's web address in the appropriate boxes.
  6. Select Request.

While the integration is still in the process, you can import your bank transactions into QuickBooks temporarily. To know more about the steps on how to do it, refer to this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

I've also added an article for your future tasks about matching your bank transactions to the details you've entered in QuickBooks: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
