I am trying to do two things:
1. Link a document to a QBO transaction (by QBO transaction for the purpose of this post I mean any thing for which QBO allows you to add an attachment, such as a bank transaction).
The only way I have so far been able to achieve this is to paste the link into the memo field. This is not entirely satisfactory as you cannot click on the 'link' as it is just text to QBO. So I have to highlight that text, copy it into another app (such as Spotlight, Raycast, Launchbar or Alfred) and this takes me to the linked document.
2. Obtain a link to a QBO item and paste it into another application.
I can't work out how to do this. If I go to the QBO item and view the browser's active URL it seems to be a container URL (I'm not au fait with modern web design) but know that that URL will not take me back to the QBO item. Even if it did, it would only take me to the QBO item in its current state. If it was, say, moved from Review to Categorised, it would have a new URL. But other apps assign a URL to a record on creation of the record and the record is then accessible with that URL irrespective as to how its state may have changed since it was first created.
I assume there is a way to do both things and I am just missing this. Modern web apps usually have URL schemes.
Perhaps to solve 1. QBO could allow a URL or a .TXT item to be an attachment?

Thanks for getting back in the thread, @cuebeeohhd.
I'm here to add some additional information about QuickBooks attachment.
Currently, the option to attach URL to QuickBooks item isn't possible. As a way around, you can add the URL to the invoice message box or field.
I know how the functionality would be beneficial to your business. With this, I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve your experience and the features of the program.
Here's how:
You can also track feature requests through the Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online website.
I'm only a few clicks away if you need assistance with your other QuickBooks tasks. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
