I am located in the United States but have a vacation rental in Morocco. Does anyone know if QuickBooks acts as a payment processor for Morocco businesses and banks? If so, any idea how to get started with that? I do not have a Moroccan phone number so I keep getting errors and am unable to create a global account.

You can sign up for a QBO Global account with a phone number in Asia or Africa as a workaround. Then you can change it to your own US number later after successful login.

Yes, Fiat Lux's right, USMorocco. I'd be delighted to share insights and steps to help you set up your QuickBooks account.

As QuickBooks Online suits your business's financial needs, you can create a new QBO Global account by choosing the country first and may use a phone number in Asia or Africa. To do this, go to this link: Choose your country and sign up for a global account.

  1. Choose a plan.
  2. If you're not using any payroll subscription, you'll be routed to the login page window.
  3. If you want to use the same sign-in credentials, click Sign in and select Yes, that's correct.
  4. Fill out your billing information and click Subscribe.

Furthermore, you'll want to set up and utilize the Multicurrency feature to record foreign transactions using the same account.

We'll keep this thread open if you have additional queries when managing your QuickBooks accounts. Please let us know in the comments below. Keep safe!

Thank you, I do not have a phone number in Asia or Africa, only the United States. Is there a workaround for this?

Thank you! The issue I keep having is when I switch to the country Morocco, and login, I continue getting routed to the local site for the US. Even if I continue changing it, it won't let me progress with Morocco for some reason. Any ideas?

@USMorocco

I believe we can help you signing up for QBO Global version. Contact me in private and we'll help create a trial account to make sure it works before signing up a paid one.

Hello, @USMorocco. I appreciate your continued engagement in this discussion. Allow me to provide you with further insights to facilitate your QuickBooks tasks.

Once you sign up for a specific region in QuickBooks Online, it's necessary to have a phone number associated with that particular country. This enables you to receive a confirmation code from Intuit, essential for account verification. In light of this, I recommend securing a phone number relevant to Morocco to ensure a smooth process of creating an account establishment.

If you have an existing QBO account, then we can use that same email address to bypass the sign-up page. This way, you won't need to enter a phone number when signing up. Simply enter your email address or user ID in the Email address field and click Sign in

After that, enter your account's password and you should be able to set up an account for the QuickBooks Online Morocco region.

When signing up, let's make sure that Morocco country is selected before choosing a product. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/global/#
