QBO and QBD are living in 2 different realms. There is no QBO Accountant for Global version. You may invite your accountant to access your QBO account as accountant. If you are using QBD, you may send the file to your accountant.
Thank you.
Is there a way to download files from QBD an upload them to QBO?
What’s the best way or is there a video tutorial available?
Hi there, Ian.
I appreciate you for getting back to us here on the Community page. I can share with you the details on how you can export your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To export the file directly from QBDT to QBO, both QuickBooks must be in the same version (region. Then, from your QBDT, here's how you can export the file directly to QBO.
Once done, you're now ready to access the data in QBO. For more tips when working with QBO, you can open the topics from our help articles.
For additional guides while converting your data and how does the conversion works, I recommend checking out our US articles (the steps work the same with other versions):
If you have different versions of QuickBooks, you can export the data to Excel manually and import them to QBO.
Please let me know how else I can help you with your QuickBooks data by leaving a comment below. I'm always here to help. Keep safe!
Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Desktop, TPImporter for Online.
