When I try to set up accountant i get security page. wont text my country and when I use email it just relogs me into my account goes to home and deletes accountant info

Issues like unresponsive or broken pages are usually the result of outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. We can clear them in just a few easy steps.

 

Let's start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. If your subscription is still active, your data should remain available. Also, make sure to select the correct company. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

 

If it's responsive, I recommend that you clear its cache. By clearing them, you can remove that historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also switch to a different supported browser to see if it has something to do with your browser.

 

Once done, invite your accountant again.

Sadly that didn’t work. Tried all

of the above. It seems to redirect from a verify it’s me login, to a help me login when I select email as my preferred verification. When I put the emailed code in it just re-logs me in, show my home/dashboard and all the accountant details are gone. Spent 2 hours of my day trying to fix this now and getting very frustrated as the online help link just tells

me there’s no one to help

To further assist you in adding your accountant, I recommend contacting our Customer Care team. This way they can conduct a formal investigation to determine what's preventing you from setting up your accountant. They also have specific tools to pull up your account in a secure place and check your setup. To connect with them, please refer to these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. From the Assistant tab, enter a brief description of your concern. Example: Add accountant in QuickBooks Online.
  3. Then, type Talk to a human.
  4. Select Yes, then Get help from a human.
  5. Choose either Start a Chat or Have us call you.
