Importar cotización BCU

Hola, estudio.

Hi there, studio.

Let me lay out some information when regard to importing quotes in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

It’s great to create quotes to give your customer a bid or proposal for work you plan to do. These types of transactions are non-posting ones which means they won’t affect your accounts.

However, importing this through to your QBO is unobtainable. The only data you can import to your company file are the following:

  • Bank data
  • Customers
  • Suppliers
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Products and Services
  • Invoices
  • Bills

To get around this matter, you’ll want to consider utilizing a third-party application that enables you to import your quotes.

Let me know if you need further assistance with managing your transactions. I’m hoping your business to prosper. Have a good one!

Please note that I only use one of our tools to translate your concern into English.

Importar cotización BCU

Sorry, maybe I expressed badly.

I continue:

In Uruguay, it is mandatory to do the accountability with the official exchange rate.

Our  Central Bank web-published the official exchange rate.

How should we charge this information in QB?

Thanks for getting back, estudio.

I want to ensure we're on the same page in resolving your concern with QuickBooks Online (QBO). Thus, can you tell me more about the accountability exchange rate you’re referring to? Additional information would help me understand your concern correctly and provide relevant fixes.

I’ll wait for your response to get this sorted out. Have a great day!

Importar cotización BCU

Thank you.   I will try to explain.

In our companies we have items to entry in Uruguayan pesos and others that are in dollars. So,the currency exchange of that item must be made at the official exchange rate, proposed by the Central Bank of Uruguay. https://www.bcu.gub.uy/Estadisticas-e-Indicadores/Paginas/Cotizaciones.aspx

For Uruguayan accounting programs, exist a way to import these Uruguayan central bank exchange rate and bring them into the program. This allows the accounting of the company in Uruguayan pesos and in dollars. This exchange rate (monthly) is issued by the central bank in different formats to be able to upload it, (for example, to the accounting program) In txt file, excel, XML. The exchange rate is different from day to day.

I hope I have explained myself better

Thank you for the thorough explanation, and I appreciate the link you provided, @estudiogranja. I know how important it is to use the updated exchange rates daily to align with Uruguayan Central Bank. Don't worry, I'll share a workaround to manually enter them into the program.

Importing the Uruguayan Central Bank Exchange Rate in QuickBooks is currently unavailable. It's our utmost goal to cater to all business needs. Thus, I recommend sharing this idea with our Product Developers. They will review it and consider it for future updates depending on the number of users' requests.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
  3. Share your suggestion, then click Next.

You'll want to track your suggestion through this website. You can also visit our blog to keep up with recent events and developments.

There are two ways to use your exchange rates. You can adjust the rate when you enter the transaction or update them in your currencies list. Please make sure to turn on the multicurrency feature before doing this.

To utilize your exchange rate for a foreign currency transaction, follow the steps below:

  1. Select + New, then select the transaction you want to enter.
  2. Select the Customer or Supplier from the ▼ dropdown.
  3. In the Rate field, enter the exchange rate.
  4. Complete the transaction details, then select Save and close.

You can check out this guide for the complete steps of your second option: Enter and use your own exchange rates.

I'm always here to listen if you have other concerns about importing data or adding exchange rates to the program. You're always welcome to post again. Stay safe.
