Is posible to import the customer identification with the csv/excel file customer import funcionality?

We need to set the Corporate Identification Number field when we import the customer from the csv file, but this article does not include the identification field.

Also we tried with the example file in the dashboard but the Corporate Identification Number field is not listed in the options.

Hello @ChristineJoieR .

Thanks for your answer, but this does not solve my question.

Testing the API way, I realized that Corporate Identification Number field showed in the customer panel corresponds to the PrimaryTaxIdentifier API field. Also is the same field to "Tax Reg. No." in the import csv/sxcel file customer/supplier funcionality.

Is posible to import the customer identification with the csv/excel file customer import funcionality?

Thank you for dropping here in Community, @mumana.

I appreciate you for sharing for article and screenshots, you are making an effort in communicating with us.
I’m here to share some insight about the CSV file mapping in QuickBooks Online.

As of the moment, we cannot include corporate ID in importing a CSV file. Since it shows standard data and we should follow the correct format in uploading files into QuickBooks.

You can utilize this article for your reference regarding the CSV file in QuickBooks.

You can only add details reports limited to 3 custom fields on sales forms. Here’ how:

1.     Go to Settings ⚙, then select Custom fields.
2.     Select Add field.
3.     Enter a name in the Name field.
4.     Select the All Sales forms checkbox.
5.     If you want the custom field to appear on printed and delivered forms, turn on the Print on form switch. Otherwise, it will only be visible in QuickBooks.
6.     Select Save.

Moreover, refer to this article to know more about adding custom fields to the sales form and purchase order.

Let me know if you have queries, I’m always here to help you. Have a perfect day ahead!

Is posible to import the customer identification with the csv/excel file customer import funcionality?

Hi there, @mumana. Let me clarify a few things about importing customers into QuickBooks Online (QBO).

At this time, adding the corporate ID number in the csv file when importing the customer is unavailable.

Since there's no field to add the corporate ID number in the csv. What we can do is to manually enter the corporate ID number once you already have the customer's profile.

You can refer to these articles for detailed steps on importing customers' data and answers to frequently asked questions, such as the file format used in importing:

As always, should you need further assistance with your QBO, don't hesitate to leave a comment below. We're always here to help.
